Earthquake in south-east of Idaho felt as Salt Lake City - An earthquake with a thickness of 5.3 hit south-east of Idaho on Saturday. Tremors were felt Pocatello to Yellowstone, and as far as Salt Lake City.No damage or injuries were immediately in the quake which occurred at 10:18 pm Topeka time after the U.S. Geological Survey.
“It is a remote area, so I do not think a lot of damage,” said Sue Nava, seismic network manager at the University of Utah seismograph of the station.
The earthquake was increased from 27 miles north-west Afton, Wyo., south-west of Grand Teton National Park.
“I was just sitting in my room before, and I heard a noise that sounded like a truck and felt it shake about three to four seconds,” said Kevin Jackson, 45, Afton.
The temblor was the largest precision Idaho, given an order of magnitude 5.8 earthquake in 1994.
